To meet the growing market demand for highly dispersed and easily mixed materials, our company recently completed a technical upgrade of our TST series three-screw extruders. The three-screw model employs a multi-meshing structure, offering advantages such as strong dispersion, low energy consumption, and high output, making it particularly suitable for complex processes such as starch biodegradable materials, high-filler masterbatches, color masterbatches, and elastomer modification.
 
This upgrade focuses on screw arrangement, mixing element structure, and the barrel cooling system. By optimizing the flow field and shear distribution, the material is subjected to more uniform stress, resulting in a 30% improvement in dispersion performance, especially for high-viscosity and high-viscoelastic materials. Simultaneously, the newly developed sealing structure significantly improves venting efficiency and reduces volatile residue.
 
The barrel cooling system adopts an independent zoned temperature control structure, allowing for the setting of precise temperature profiles for different materials, ensuring more complete plasticization without overheating. All models come standard with a digital monitoring system that records pressure, torque, temperature, and energy consumption data in real time, facilitating user production management and process optimization.
 
The upgraded TST series has achieved excellent results in tests with materials such as PBAT+starch, TPE/TPR, and high-filler calcium carbonate masterbatch. Taking the PBAT-starch system as an example, customer trial production data shows a significant improvement in equipment dispersibility and a film tensile strength increase of over 20%.
 
Currently, the upgraded version has entered the market promotion stage and is planned to debut at the International Plastics & Rubber Exhibition in May, showcasing its technological advantages in challenging compounding processes to more customers. This upgrade will further solidify our company's leading position in the industry for three-screw extruders.
